BMW Parts - The Good, The Bad, n The Ugly

OK, So you have this new BMW. Nice. Congrats! You made a great choice. The car feels almost immaculate, most likely, but since you happen to be the kind of perfectionist who seeks quality and performance, you are definitely going to upgradeyour car even more. And that is fine! The BMW Aftermarket world is chock full with nutjobs just like you. Merely because it's a European, expensive car does not mean you must feel guilty tweaking or upgrading it - if you do it properly.

Here are a few necessary laws to live by as you are modifying your BMW

Rule 1: Keep it classy.
If you're going to upgrade the body of the car, opt for something subtle and understated. No crazy flairs or fins or wingshanging off the vehicle. Hey, it is a well made German car. No underglow. No loud, nasty exhaust which makes your ridehowl like a Subaru. And certainly no peel and stick stickers down the side. Seriously, guy.

most often, as in this specific instance, less is more. I realize you can add a massive wing to the rear of your car andgarner oodles of turning heads, but it's not good attention. You could also go out of home sporting a neon magentabellybutton shirt, but you wouldn't do it, Correct? Right! rather,, a classy tie or a nice button-upwill say "I went throughthe time and effort to make this come out right." The same goes with BMW Parts.

Rule 2: No Chrome. Seriously. Never..
If it's chromey, it doesn't belong on your BMW. If you have a desire to upgrade the rims, your alternatives are silver, a grey gunmetal, black, or raw aluminum brushed. at times, more experienced enthusiasts can get away with Polished, 2 tone, or Bronze Anodized wheels, but this requires matching and close attention to a theme. You probably should ask the advice of a wheel specialist who really knows this stuff before you try to make Gold wheels work on your bone stock car!

Rule 3: All things in moderation!
This recognized cliché applies to a ton of aspects in daily life. Just One beer is very pleasant! 13 beers, that's a different story. When it comes to tuning your BMW, follow the same rule. Carbon fiber is a great way to add a racey look and motif toone's car. In moderate amounts. There is no need to overdo it by leaving the whole carbon fiber bonnet and bootlidexposed. There is simply no need to buy the door handles made out of carbon fiber. You understand the point. The sameis true of the "murdered out" motif. Blacked out wheels and dark tinted windows absolutely look sweet. every now and then even tinted tail lights are good, too. But if I can't see your car in the dark because your tail lights, headlights, wheels, windows, and everything else are all jet black.. well... too much.

Rule 4: Keep Away From junk
You got a quality car. Put quality components on it. Avoid the $200 eBay carbon fiber hood. Avoid the $10 front turn signal lights. Stay away from the no-name wheels. Sure, you are likely to save a handful of money in the short run, but you most definitely will lose drivability, you'll shell out more in the long run to exchange it (or fix the harm done to your car), and 9 times out of 10, it will look like rubbish when it's put on your car. If you happen to be picking between cheaping out on BMW Parts or remaining stock - stay stock.
